Otoscopy (looking into ear) to determine ear canal and eardrum health
Tympanometry test to check for middle ear abnormalities or infection markers
OAE test to determine if the inner ear hearing system is intact
Wax removal is provided if patient is compliant
Permission slip indicating service options, fees, dates and information are provided
Digital forms with optional digital payment are used for permission slips
Cash payments are welcome and can be collected on the day of testing
If printed slips are preferred, print files will be provided to your school
Hearing tests are performed on school premises
We only require a quiet room with an electrical outlet, table and chairs
Each test takes between 5 and 15 minutes to complete
Children will only be tested if permission and payment has been received
Hearing screening results will be available within 2 working days of testing
Results and referral letters can be emailed directly to the parents
Alternatively, we can send results to the school to hand out to parents
Parents can also request a receipt to claim back from medical aid
